English Department
Secondary Teaching Certificate for English Majors
Those seeking certification in what NY State now calls Adolescence Education (Grades 7-12) are encouraged to pursue a concentration in Literature. For current requirements for this certification, a student should consult with his or her academic advisor or with the Chairperson of the English Department.
The English Department provides an advisor who works with Adolescence Education and serves as liaison with the Teacher Education Program at Marist.
